Layered roses with the Silhouette

I made the card that says Hello for a lady at church.  It is a normal 5.5 by 4.25 card.  It is pretty much the cut file directly from Silhouette

This second one is a big 8.5 by 5.5 card for work. I had to stretch the roses a little bit to work. I also got the words from a different set I bought off of Silhouette Design Store.  I made my own offset with the Silhouette for a background for the words.

I also coated the words with Ultra Thick Embossing Powder.

Finished a couple more cards

This is done with some paper I got at Micheal's. I them painted it with Dylusions paints and a sponge applicator from Tim Holtz.  The words are a die I got from eBay.

The background here is a paper I got from Artco It already had the embossing and weeds on it.  The words are a die I got from eBay.

I am getting some extra cards in stock. I am thinking of trying to get more serious about selling cards.

Sending you sunshine

Recently I came across a box from Artco in Rexburg Idaho. This company does wedding invites and stuff. You can get envelopes and odds and ends by the pound from them.

The background of this card is a paper from them.  The die to cut the word is from Stampin Up.

Altenew Vintage Roses

I splurged and got the Altenew Vintage Roses stamp and die sets.  I have been stamping some of them and not having a lot of luck designing the cards.

I found a set of Altenew inks today at the Craft Outlet today.  I stamps a bunch of yellow roses and leaves today. Rather than using one of the yellow ones, I used a couple pink ones that I stamped before.

The background paper is paper from ArtCo in Rexburg Idaho. I found a box of papers today in the basement.

I will post more cards with the flowers I stamped but here is the start.

The background paper is pearlescent which the photo does not show of course.

Paper pumpkin - March 2018

I am pretty sure I am just about done with paper pumpkins. I paid for three last kits and I just don't see myself getting more. This one makes a set of five cards that fits into a box. There are 20 cards and four boxes in total.

I followed this kit pretty much the way they recommended. I changed a could of the sayings around.

I also stamped the "thanks" right on the cards.

Sweet Birthday

I got a couple different girl dies recently. Here is another card I did with one of them.
The words are a sticker.

Painting class

I went to one of those wine and paint classes. I don't drink wine but I was hoping to meet people and I liked the painting they were doing.  The company is called Painting with a Twist.

The teacher was nice but I think I was the only one not drinking or there with a group.  I was a little disappointed I didn't get to visit much with people.

This is an in progress picture.

The class added some big branches and some stumps but I felt this looked more like the beach at the cottages.

I will warn you that my photos of my painting are always better than the actual painting. I am not sure why that happens.

A friend just came back from Italy. I asked her some of her picture to try and paint one.  We will see how that goes.

HAVE A CREATIVE DAY!

Lighthouse Cards

I made 4 of these cards. They are each a little different.  This picture is still in progress.

It took a lot of maskng to get this effect.

The inks were mostly Stampin Up but I also used the same Hero arts inks I used on the flamingo card  recently. I used Tim Holtz sponge applicators for the blending

I got the die for Happy Birthday from eBay.

Sweet Girl card

I got this die on eBay. There was no brand on it.  So of the pieces were a bit tricky to figure out but once I got it, it was pretty easy.  I will be making more of her. She is adorable.

The background paper was scraps again. I have a lot of those and I am trying to use them up.
I made this to try and sell at work. I have been gathering cards to do that with and found I was short of birthday cards.

This is the words inside the card. The stamp is from Stampin Up.

Flamingo Card

I used some cool layered stamps to create this card.

The stamp is by Hero Arts and I was lucky enough to find the stamps designed for the stamps on clearance. The stamp set is Yana's Sunset

Simple Sympathy card

Here is a simple sympathy card I did for a woman at work who's grandfather passed away. Inside there were words saying "Deepest sympathy for your loss"

The die is Peony Dream by Altenew.
The background paper was a scrap and it is glittery which doesn't show well in the photo.

Hope you have a creative day.

More of the Asian girls cards

I used more of the Asian die cut girls on this card.

The are so adorable but I kid of wish they were a little bigger.  Twice the size would be nice!

The words are from an old Stampin Up set
The paper was from scraps I had.

Hope you have a creative day!

Loads of Cards

Once I get the Silhouette set up, I hate to stop cutting. Typically it is stored in a closet when not in use but once I get it out, I like to cut lots of images.  Here are a lot of cards I did. They are mostly the large cards I do for work. The files should all be from the Silhouette store.

I think I have a second one of these cut out waiting to put on a cards.

This cow was for my granddaughter. She recognizes the machine and usually asks me to cut out a pig for her. I convinced her to try a different animal this time and it was a cow.

This fish was tricky to put together. I think the designers can do a better job of helping us know suggested colors. In this one, I cut one of the fins in red because I thought it was part of the month and then had to cut it a second time.

The flamingo below is also die cut. The background was tissue paper that I attached to white card stock with clear mat medium.

Photos - On Lake Michigan

I haven't posted photos in a while.  I did a quick run to the cottages after work one day. I wanted to know my camper was still there.  Mostly you can't get into there when there is snow...and things are closed up for the winter.  Here are some shots of the beach on a cold March evening.

by the way, the camper was safely there. :)

No Prob-llama

I love this llama.  I got the file from Silhouette. I think it was suppose to be a container but I altered it a bit to fit my needs.  I made these two cards for work so they are the big 5.5 by 8.5 cards.  I came up with the words myself.

They sure make me smile.   I need about 40 cards for the department for the year.  I am over half way done for 2018.

Angie "Girls" from Unity

This is the new guy stamp Angie made at Unity stamps. I made this card for my son's birthday.
I used distress inks to paint him.

Easter stuff!

I will start with cards.  I combined two designs I got from the Silhouette store to make these. The insides are pop ups.

I gave them out to my grandchildren and 1 to an employee to give her mother.

I also made the little baskets with my envelope punch.  I got my envelope punch at Stampin Up. I filled them with a few pieces of candy and gave them to my employees - and the other leaders in the department - and my grandkids.

This final project so so easy.  It was a free file from Silhouette. I resized it a bit to get what I wanted and then it was just cut and add a candy in it. So very easy!  I was almost out of candy so I only made a few.  I gave them to the leaders to give to their children and nephews.

Altenew Flowers

I splurged and got this die set from Altenew.  I learned about this company while watching videos of Jenny McGuire and Creativation. It was either sold out or I didn't have the money each time I went to get it.  This is the Peony Dream set of dies. You can get one HERE. I have been using it a lot and I don't think I am done.

The above card is one of the big cards I do for work. The background was embossed with a 8.5 by 11 inch embossing folder.  I printed the words on card stock.

Then I decided to start using up some scraps.  These are smaller 5 by 7 cards that I made for the woman's group to have if we want to send out a group card.

The words "With sympathy" were hot foiled and cut with my Todo machine.  They were on sale at my favorite Craft Outlet store.

The card below is a little special because I used paper I had colored with alcohol ink previously.  I had colored photo paper with Ranger alcohol inks.
The words, "you are loved" are from a Stampin Up set.

Here is a close up so you can see the colored papers.

One last one with velum in the background.  I think I am going to leave it without a sentiment.
