Too busy for cards

My parents, daughter and grandson are visiting from Illinois. It is hard enough to be away from them to work. I haven't had a chance to make cards. My daughter has gotten some paper to make a set of cards like I recently did. It's not the best picture in the world but it is what I have been doing instead of card making.

Set of cards with holder

On the Justcards group, Angela (http://angelab12.stampinup.net )posted a set of card in a cute holder. The holder is made with a single sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 card stock. Here is my version. I made two sets of identical cards. Once set if for a March of Dimes auction at work. The other set will go to a church auction later this week. I picked up the pattern paper at Tuesday Morning. Very good deal! Most of the stamps are from a set called Embrace Life from Stampin Up. The large flower is from Stampendous and called Fresh Bloom.

Sketch Card

This was a swap for the yahoo group Card Crafts. Betty S designed the sketch. I didn't really change the sketch much. I thought I would when it was announced but as I started to put things together, I came up with this.

Monocromatic Blue

I was just happy with this one. : ) It had to be all in shades of blue. It is a lot like the one I did for Matthew's birthday. I loved how well the shell buttons when with it. I liked the saying and I inked it so it would match just right. The background is embossed with the cuttlebug branches embossing folder and then inked after to emphasise the embossing. It was sent to Brooke for a JustCards swap.

M is for Music

Here is the next letter in the alphabet. This is M is for Music. The embossed music paper was from Ritva who lives in Sweden. It was from another swap. I made the white parts of the flower from handmade paper that I cut with a punch then then folded them a little to give then dimension. I was inspired to do the design by a card I received from Trish in Australia. Lots of international input!

Mouse Birthday card

I did this card this weekend. I was already stamping lots of this image for a swap on JustCards. The stamp is called " Wrapped and Ready" from House Mouse. It is a Christmas stamp but I used it for a birthday card. It is colored with Ticonderoga colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits.
