Day 14 - Daily Challenge - Photo

This is a photo I took with my phone at the Japanese garden within Meijer Gardens last fall. I love taking these close up photos.

Day 13 - Daily Challenge Bling Head

What do you think of this? It is a Styrofoam head covered in rhinestones.  It is a little freaky.

It was a request from a friend at work who wants it to hold this red hat. It's a hat the safety committee wheres in case of an emergency so we know who is there to help. Now I am thinking about covering a whole manikin in rhinestones.

Day 12 - Daily Challenge - Birthday cards

I did a couple cards using the same Unity stamp.  The long skinny card fit in a business envelope, which is unusual but I had those cool dark purple envelopes. I also wanted to use the Unity stamp and have pop up balloons inside the card.  It was a birthday card for my Mom. The second card is one of those big cards for work.  I love the Angie girl stamps at Unity. I colored with Copics.

I taught them at a card class.  Super fun little cards and cute holder.  I used Stampin Up dies to do the labels.

Day 10 - Daily Challenge - Hug an Australian

Today is Hug an Australian day.  My boss happens to be an Australian so I made these for the department so everyone can give her a hug.  Each of the bags contains 2 Hershey hugs.  I made 44 of them.  I wish I could hug my friends who are in Australian. Sending you all virtual hugs!

Day 9 - Daily Challenge - Fairy Birthday card

I did this birthday card for my daughter in February. The stamp is by Unity and I loved it so much, I had two so I did this card and gave my daughter one of the stamps,  I did a little pop up inside. The pop up is a Stampin Up die.

Day 8 - Daily Challenge - Cards

Today's cards are both those large cards I am doing for work. They are 5.5 by 8.5 inches.  The are both done with Silhouette cut files. I really like that I can size the files to fit the card I am doing.

The purple and teal card has some bling added because the paper stuck a bit to the adhesive cutting mat. Usually I would just flip it over but in this case, I couldn't. 

Day 7 - Daily Challenge - More Pop Up

Continuing on my love of pop ups, Here is a carousel that I also cut from a Silhouette file. I had to do it the same way as the piano but it too many more sheets. after being cut, I would hand cut the individual parts.

Day 6 - Daily Challenge - Pop up

I love pop ups. Pop Up books, cards, art.  Any popup! It is so fun to open!  This was a Silhouette file I got. The silhouette designer didn't give any help to do more than cut it. I cut it out of black and a colored paper. I removed the piano from the colored paper and layered it over the black layer. I cut the small keyboard out of white as well. Then, I took two pieces of purple cardstock and layered them as the front and back,  sandwiching the black layer in the middle. 

It is decorated with peel-offs, washi tape, and embossed paper.  

Day 5 - Daily Challenge

Here is another big card for work. The deer and trees are cut with Silhouette.  The words are from a Stampin Up die that I trim. It is a cake die for doing pop up cards but it is a nice size for these big cards so I have used it several times.  The Silhouette files work good here because I can size them for the big cards.

Day 4 - Daily Chalenge

Today, I am sharing  a photo again. I love the world around me. There is so much beauty.  This is a lighthouse near Silver Lake Michigan. I took the picture with my phone.  You would never know it was horribly windy this day for the serenity of the pictures

Day 3 - Daily Challenge

I am doing large birthday cards for work.  We have a team of 40 people and so there has to be lots of room for signatures and messages.  It is a challenge to do that.  I usually do 4.25 by 5.5 inch cards which is half a sheet of card stock folded in half.  For these, the card is 5.5 by 8.5.  The stamp here is by Taylored Artwork.

Day 2 - Posting challenge

For Easter, I made all kinds of bunny themed containers.  I made 40 bunny butt baskets for work.  Then there was 8 bunny face baskets and 8 bunny faces on juice boxes fro church classes.  All the punches were Stampin up punches.  Cheeks were a 1 inch punch. Eyes were 3/4 and 1/2 inch punches. Nose is a mini heart. Ears were oval punches.  The basket is the fry box die. The bunny butt baskets have an oval punch used to create a handle.

Thirty day creative challenge - Day one

I have lots of projects I have done over the last year and I haven't shared. I have just challenged myself to post something everyday for 30 days. It will mostly be things I don't remember all the details of but at least it will be shared.   Today, I will share some photography. I am have obsessed with mushrooms this year.  All these pictures were taken with my phone.  Most of them were taken around my family cottages near Hart Michigan.
