Day 75 - Daily Challenge - Elephant Earrings

I am doing a sale with a friend in two weeks. She is the main seller, as she is selling some furniture and decorative items. I will be selling some cards and handmade jewelry however I don't have a lot of jewelry ready. I am going to have to get busy.  Here are some earrings I did tonight and I have several other items ready to put together.

This stamp is so lovely. It is a stamp by Unity. I colored it with distress ink. The background is pieces of tissue paper callaged on white cardstock.  For today, it is one of my favorites. Have a creative day!!

Day 72 - Daily Challenge- June Paper Pumpkin Alternative

I got my Paper Pumpkin kit for June while I was away. I am a little disappointed that the card itself was printed upside down. I cut off the front and put it on a larger card base.  I will be playing with the kit more.

Day 71- Daily Challenge - Desert Coast

I know I have been posting a lot of photography. I will get back to crafting right away but I just got home.  I loved the contrast of the cactus and the ocean.

Day 70 - Daily Challenge - Desert Flowers

If someone knows about these flowers, I would love to hear. They are some kind of desert flower. They were on the coast of California. They looked wet. Nothing around them was wet, The water was too far away to make them wet. I touched the liquid and it was sticky and thick like sap. There were only bees on these flowers. I didn't see any bees on the other flowers in the area.

Day 69 - Daily challenge - California flower

I always find the flowers on succulents appealing and here in dry southern California, there have been a few. This is one I saw in the park we were training in. The park was very dry with a dry creek bed running though it. There was a large area of this succulent in it with a couple of these pretty flowers to brighten the area.

Day 68 - Daily Challenge - Ocean Dreams

Since I am posting ahead, on this day, I will be finishing up my week of training in California and spending a day to myself.  My plans are to find a beach combing beach and take a very long walk.

The shell on this card I did several years ago. I think it must have fallen off another card. It is embossed, and there colored with another ink. I love how real it looks.  I got the stamp at I Brake for Stamps. The background is a sheet of watercolor practice and the seagulls are stickers.  The colors in the photo aren't very good because it is dusk here but I want to be sure I post through the week, just in case.

Day 67 - Daily Challenge - Lovely simple card

Here is another quick simple card. The base card was a laser cut card from a Stampin Up kit.  I added a liner color and some butterfly stickers.  Poof, done!  Okay, it took a while to find just the right stickers but it wasn't too long.  Have a creative day!

Day 66 - Daily Challenge - Love Ya

This was super simple because the heart was laser cut from a Stampin Up kit.  Just had to find a paper to show through that I liked. The word is a sticker.  I am working on future posts. When this one posts, I will be in California on a trip for work.

Day 64 - Daily Challenge- Wolf Card

My posts are not very exciting but I hope they are inspiring to someone. I am using up scraps and images I created before.  I colored them with Copics.  I am not sure where the images are from.

Day 62- Daily Challenge - Peel-off Girl

I have had this girl done for a long time. Peel offs are more of a English thing.  Popular in Europe and Australia. Put you can find them here and there. I colored it with Copic markers.

Day 61 - Daily Challenge - Watercolor play

I am just learning to use watercolor. It is fun but I have a lot to learn.  I used a Stampin Up image. I painted more with my Koi watercolor.

Day 60 - Daily Challenge - Pop up Jungle

This is the inside of a jungle pop up card I did. I got the cut file from Silhouette.  They don't help you know how to add the color pieces so I am proud of it even though it is a cut file. I haven't done the front of the card yet.

Day 59 - Daily Challenge - Make up

Since in the last week, I had had a funeral for my mother in law, a hit and run car accident and a wedding for more son, all 1500 miles from my home, I deserve forgiveness for missing one day. This is a makeup day for yesterday since I missed it.  I made this card in Idaho, several days ago. Sarah had some supplies there are we played a bit.

I water colored the background and stamped the flowers with a Stampin Up ink.  The stamp set was also from Stampin Up.

Day 58 - Daily Challenge - Painting by Sarah

Today I am flying home from Idaho. I decided it would be okay to share a painting my daughter, Sarah Broderick, did for me. I wanted it in a specific palette of colors for a playroom I am thinking of putting together at my house. I already purchased some other items from Hobby Lobby in the colors. I wanted gender neutral decor. Finally, I wanted an exploring/adventure theme. She did this for me and I love it.

Day 57 - Daily Challenge - Amazing

In order to get me through my travel time, I am posting another card my daughter in law, Amy, did.  She is a new Copic user and is taking right to it. The Angie Girls from Unity are wonderful.

Day 56 - Daily Challenge - Simple Wedding Card

Here is another card I did for my son's wedding. I used the Stampin Up die set called Sunshine Wishes.  The hearts are metallic silver and I used green as an accent since it is the wedding color.

Today, my youngest son is getting married today. This is the card I made for my mother to give them. I used the green accent because it is their wedding color. The stamp is by Stampin Up.

Day 54 - Daily Challenge - Anniversary Card

My mother asked me to make a anniversary card for her to give to a friend for a 50th anniversary. I needed to do something pretty quick since I am traveling. Actually I am doing this card before I travel and scheduling the post while I am gone. Tomorrow, June 10th , my youngest son is getting married. I only regret that the photo doesn't show the metallic silver.  By the way, the squares were 1 and 1/8 inches. Had to play a bit before I figured it out.

Hope you have a creative day!

Day 53 - Daily Challenge - Love ya

I love the girls at Unity. They are beautiful. I colored this with Copics. The patterned paper is Stella and Rose by My Minds Eye but it is pretty old paper. I doubt you would ever find it. I didn't put words on it because I thought it could be used for a variety of purposes.

Day 52 - Daily Challenge - Giraffes

I have been keeping Amy  busy a night. Here is another card Amy, my daughter in law did. She used a new Unity stamp I got. I just love this stamp in honor of April the giraffe.  She colored it with Copic markers. It was her first time. So fun to have her here to play with me. She will be moving into her new home any day so we won't play together as much. Happy to be able to enjoy the time together while it lasts.

Day 51 - Daily challenge - Lindy Magical Shaker

I like to try new things and there is a Craft Outlet store near me that gives me a perfect opportunity because they often have one of these or one of those unique items I can try. This week I came home with Lindy's Magical Shaker. I had some of the resist watercolor paper from the Paper Pumpkin kit and I did this.  I also went over the resist area with some Di-oxide ink to sharpen the resist.

Day 50 - Daily Challenge - Lovely Fairy

I am so pleased with how the coloring turned out here. Do you sometimes surprise yourself with the end result. I used Copic markers to color this.  It is a stamp set by Unity Stamps called Dragonflies and Fairies. There are little sparkles on it you miss in this photo so it is even better in person! The yellow paper in the background is embossed with a Darice embossing folder names Cherry Blossom.

In addition to being a beautiful card, that I hardly believe I did, it is also my 50th day of this personal challenge I did for myself. I am not stopping, the next goal is 75 days.  If I make it until July, I will post Christmas in July and share some of the many things I did last year for the holidays.

If I make it to 100 days...there will be a little party. Not sure what all it will entail but there will be prizes.  Please keep coming back and I hope you take time to be creative everyday!

Day 49 - Daily Challenge - Wild Flowers

I took this photo the other day in the dog park near my home. One of the things about living here is that things grow here so much easier than in Idaho. The dog park is like walking into a thick forest and it just a couple blocks in a rather urban area.

Day 48 - Daily Challenge - Colored Butterfly

Today is another big birthday card for work. I colored this butterfly from a coloring book. The coloring book was the Home Sweet Home travel edition from Kohl's Cares. I colored it with colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. The antennas are tiny slivers of black cardstock since I had to cut off the ones that were drawn in. The words were cut with my Silhouette. The embossing folder was from Darice called Cherry Blossom.  I liked the details show so well in the embossing because the paper had a white core. I used some Diamond Stickler to add some shiny accents on the butterfly and antennas.

Day 47 - Daily Challenge - Guest Artist

My daughter in Law, Amy Owens, has been making cards with me. She made this one with a die I got at Craft Outlet in Grand Rapids.  The die is Consenza Tree Border Outline by Memory Box, The clouds are dies by Jullibean. Amy did the lettering by hand.

Day 46 - Daily Challenge - More large birthday cards

I continue to work on the 40 large birthday cards for work.  Here is another. Die cuts from Stampin Up, words cut with the Silhouette, and pretty paper make it easy to quickly make a card.
