E is for Elephant and Explore

The alphabet swaps continue at JustCards . This is my E card. It is very different than my usual stuff. I was inspired by a pad of paper I had.

Christmas at class

Here is the third and last card we did at class.  It was a Christmas card and I wanted to show the technique where you use plastic wrap to adhere the napkin to cardstock.  Here is the ink to the video I say the technique on.

After the picture was taken, I added a bit more glitter dots to make it look like snow.
The stamp is from Stampin Up. I cut out the snowflake with a cuttlebug die

Thanksgiving at class

The next card we did in my class was a Thank You card for Thanksgiving.

I got this lovely paper on clearance. It is double sided. You are seeing both sides here.
The bird is punched out with a punch made by Stampin Up.

Halloween at card class

I do a card class in my home once and a while. We did one last night and I designed the cards yesterday afternoon. I was very happy how they turned out doing it so fast.

Here is the Halloween card. My next two posts will have the Thank you card for Thanksgiving and a Christmas card.

The background crackle, I got from I Brake for Stamps
I used a cuttlebug holder for the spider web.
I printed the words :Hope your Halloween is ....
I colored the image with copics.

In side is a pop tree by Sizzix and a pumpkin doe with a cutter and embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I printed the words Spook-tacular

Pop up cards are such fun!!!

Quick Flower Card

Here is a picture of a quick card I did recently. The shapes behind the flower are done with Spellbinders dies. The flowers are Prima.  The ribbon was a gift.

Thanks at work

Recently we had a day designated for telling people thank you at work. The actually supplied candy grams to give up but I was not able to get some to give to some of the people I wanted so I made these.

The were done postcard style with the message written on the back. Very simple but I was happy how they looked.

The thank you stamp is from Stampin Up. I got the baby I used from Tuesday Morning.

Heard you were draggin'

I made this for a little boy who was recently in the hospital. The dragon is a Sizzix die I got at Sizzixoutlet.com.  It is a great site for bargains.

The paper that looks brow in the picture is shinny copper colored. I believe I got it from Paper Temptress. You should try out her paper if you haven't before. Nice stuff.
The words and design around them are from Stampin Up. The punched border is also from Stampin Up.

Monster candy holders

I made these fun candy holders. Each one holds a KitKat bar. The monsters are done with punches. I learned how from a video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSIkJvbutO8
She did them on Peppermint Patties.
I did them on the container in this video.
I did change the measurements a little to make them easier to work with.

Hope you try one too!

Black Velvet Technique

I tried the Black Velvet Technique.  You stamp with white in on black cardstock. Then you use colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits to color it.  The stamp I used were old Stampin Up stamps.  The background is beautiful patterned paper. I used this video and altered it a little.

Another treat holder

Here is another version of the Reese's holder. The background is cuttlebug and the spider is an EK punch.  Quick and easy!

Reese's Halloween Treat Containers

I did these this morning from basic instructions on got on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR-YVcx1Wzw&feature=player_embedded. I only got the basic shape from this video. The images are part of a single stamp with three charactors on it. I picked it up at a garage sale for $1. It is from Imaginations. I colored them with Copics

Quick Baby Shower card

Here is a really fast card I did for a friend's baby shower . No stamping this time. The background was done with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The rabbit and words are stickers.
