Lighthouse card

This card was part happy accident. I got the multicolored pad to try a new technique but it wasn't working. I inked a brayer with yellow to redish and ran it over half the card. Then I inked the brayer again and flipped the brayer so the yellow sides match up and ran it over the paper again. The paper is photo paper. The line for the horizon was a happy accident and the light area as well. Couldn't have worked better if I planned it. The lighthouse stamp if from I Brake for Stamps.
The card went to a gentleman who was recently diagnosed with Altimeters.

Gator Card

This might not be the best picture of this card. It is colored with copics. The paper is pearly. My friend Laurel in Australia stamped it and sent the image. My husband came up with the words. It was a real joint effort.

Card without a Stamp

This is a card I did for a swap that I couldn't use any stamps. The fancy background was a piece of paper. The butterfly is s die cut. It comes in two pieces so you can do part in black and part in colored paper. I used three of them in order to make the wings flap. It is s simple card but I thought it was beautiful.

K is for Kimono

On the JustCards yahoo group, We have a monthly alphabet swap. We are up to K and this was the card I sent. I got the idea from this website: http://www.michellesrubberroom.com/2008/10/how-to-make-kimono-card.html
I did make two of these because I made the first one, lost it, made a second one and then, of course, found the first one. I like this one better anyway!
The hair is from a package of handmade paper I got at Tuesday Morning for a steal. The fans on the dress were stamped with Versamark Ink and the embossed with Copper embossing powder. The fan stamp is from I Brake for Stamps.
It's one of the funnest cards I have done recently.

Diver Dan Card

Isn't this sooo fun! I just love these High Hopes stamps. The background is done with Cuttlebug. I colored all the images with colored pencils and blended them with mineral spirits. The messy table in theb background is a folding table I put up in the living room so I could be with my family and still create tonight. Hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day. Have a Fin-tastic Day!!

A second card tonight

I did another card tonight too. This one was because I had some scraps left from other things I wanted to use. This card has lots of layers but most of it is made with scraps. The word stamp is from I Brake for Stamps. The flower is from Stampin Up.

I probably should have taken a photo rather than scanned it but it doesn't look too bad here.

Sympathy Card

This may seem like an unusual stamp for a sympathy card but the person that passed was an outdoorsman and I thought it would work. What do you think? The cowboy stamp is from I Brake for Stamps. The were from Stampin Up and Distress Inks. The stamp is embossed and then painted with inks.

I have had problems with my nternet for a couple days so I have a lot of cards to post but this is one I did this morning. I got a new container of Liquid Applique and wanted to use some.

The frosting is punched out with a Stampin Up scallop punch. I trimmed it off and made a cupcake bottom by hand. The flame is a petal from a flower punch. Then I used the liquid applique on the scalloped part. While wet, I added the bugle beads fro sprinkles. Then I heated the liquid applique and it puffs up. This holds the beads in place without glue.

The red confetti background is a Stampin Up stamp and the background was done with a cuttlebug folder.

Try one!!

Another card from the Stampin Up Party

This is another card from the Thursday Stampin Up party. It's a pretty simple card with the patterned paper and punches. I decided to buy the heart punch. It punches all three heart shapes.

Scrap swap Card

This is the card I did for the scrap swap this month for JustCards. I know it doesn't look like scraps but I have a whole bin of scraps. Actually, I did this swap twice because I had so many scraps. The stamps used on this card are from I Brake for Stamps. I love the lace backgroud stamp. I stamped it with Stampin Up white craft ink and clear embossed it to get the pink looking lacce. The pink paper is really white paper distressed with Cranberry Crisp Ink. The patterned papers and the rose are also distressed with the same ink. I believe this rose stamp is on sale at I Brake for Stamps right now....check it out.

I got a Blog award

Nancy from http://www.inkblocks.blogspot.com/ gave me this award. I am so proud to get a award for my blog when it is only 2 weeks old. It has been fun and I have lots more cards to post here. Thank you Nancy!

Ladybug Card

On my JustCards Yahoo group, we had a collection swap. In this swap, you make a card with something about your partner's collection. This is the card I sent to Meg F and her collection is ladybugs. I had this ladybug punch for a long time but never used it. I was really pleased how it turned out.
I also used the tags punches and word strip punch from Stampin Up. I don't know who made the background papers.

Bee birthday Card

I went to a Stampin Up party last night. Lorraine Morrison was the demostrator. She let us make 3 cards and a treat bag. I will post the items today and over the next couple days. This one was fun but lots of punching circles through each layer. The bee is inside the card. We used 2 shaeds of yellow on the flower and painted with a blender pen. All the supplies were from Stampin' Up.

We had lots of fun. It is nice to get together to play and laugh.

I want to post cards but...

I want to post cards but I can't because all the cards I have made recently are for swaps. I have 4 swap cards for the Justcards group. A "K" card, 2 scrap cards and a fan fold card. As soon as my partners get the cards, I will start posting them here. I think partners may be posted when I get up in the morning and I will mail them tomorrow.

Other news is that I won blog candy from Lora's blog. www.lorascards.blogspot.com
Check it out sometime.
Hugs
