Back again with Card class posts.

We have continued to have card classes even though I haven't been posting here. Had my Blog hijacked for a while. You probably won't be able to post any comments for a while until I am sure it is safe.

This was a class a few weeks ago that we did pop up cards.  All the paper was purchased from Tuesday Morning so I am sure they are discontinued ( but cheap) except for the card base which was from Stampin Up. The stamp and punch are from Stampin Up. The pop up die is a Sizzix die. I got it at Sizzix.com

This one is much the same. All solid paper is Stampin Up. The pop up and decoration are two different Sizzix dies. Pattern paper is from Tuesday Morning.

Here is the third card we did and my favorite.  In this one, only some of the stamps and the punch were Stampin Up. The die was Sizzix. The inside stamp was a set of clear stamps I got at JoAnn Fabrics. Paper was from Tuesday Morning.

Have a great week!

Cards for Woman

The butterfly background paper was stamped in Cantaloupe Crisp. It is an old Stampin Up stamp. The other papers were a single 12 by 12 sheet. The back of the paper had 4 different coordinating patterns. Petty cool. Got it at Tuesday Morning so I am sure it is something that is discontinued but it was fun to work with. The "Just for You" Stamp is from the Label Love stamp set made by Stampin Up.

This was another Stampin Up set called Making a Point.  It is a hostess set. I am not sure why I love it but I just do. It says" every woman wants a man who will ruin her lipstick and not her mascara".

This is another paper I got at Tuesday Morning.  It is two sided so the top is one side and the green pattern is the bottom. The stamp is another Stampin Up set again. This one is Live Like You Mean It.  The ink was pumpkin pie.

This one is kind of funny. This lady just makes me laugh so I had too use it. This one is by Door County Rubber Stamps. I used Copics to color it. The dots on the side were fun to do. That is plastic pony beads, melted. Saw it on YouTube. You melt them on parchment paper, on a baking sheet. Cook it at 450 degrees fro about 6 minutes. Be sure you have ventilation. It stinks.  I used cheap beads from Dollar Tree.

Wish everyone could come to class and join us!

Snowflake Christmas

We continue to do Christmas cards all year long. Here is a recent one we did. Lovely paper I got at Tuesday Morning. The snowflakes were from a die. Tim Holtz, I think.

Flower Cards from Class

The theme for this class was Spring.  This one took a long time for everyone because they all picked the flowers from my scraps. Hard to make all those decisions.
The flowers were cut with a Tim Holtz Die. The orange paper is Stampin Up as well as the punch on the border of the pot.

Silhouette Bunny

Here is the Bunny card we did at class. The bunny is from the Silhouette store.

Alligator Punch art card

This is one of the cards for class on Friday. I just love it and had to share it. I used Mandy's website to get me going. http://mandysstampinspot.blogspot.com/2012/08/baby-dragon-punch-art.html
She is from Australia and I think some of out punches are a little different.
Here is the card
Just love him. Hope you do too.
I used Green Gumball and Pistachio Pudding colored paper with a little black and white.   The punches I used were : The 2 by 1 3/8 oval oval, the smaller oval, Boho Blossom punch, circles and heart are from the Owl punch, the 1 3/8 circle the trim the oval for the mouth.  All shading was down with Green Gumball ink. White gel pen for the highlights.
Mandy's website shows the number of shapes.  Here is the image of the shapes from her website. I will replace this picture with on of my own this week .

Let me know if you try to make one too.

Flower cards - March card class

So class this last Friday was on flowers. Aren't flowers wonderful! Just love them so of course I have a ton of supplies to do things with flowers.

We did 4 cards this week. Just had too many things I wanted to share. This one was super easy. The green leaves were on the paper. It was a package of wedding invites I got super cheap from Staples a while back. The flower is Stampin Up punch with adhesive pearls. The other is a Stampin Up stamp (Sale-A-Bration You're Lovely)with the purple cut with a die and the after stamping again, punching it with a 1 3/4 inch punch.

In this one, the background is the Stampin Up embossing flowers with a stamp from Peaceful Petals by Stampin Up. I colored it with colored pencils (two shades of yellow and an orange) and then painted with water to blend.

My daughter ( who is selling Stampin Up now) showed me her technique for the background paper. You use very watered down ink to stamp with and get the watercolor look.  Everything here was Stampin up.

This one is more wedding paper. just cut a little strip of it. The hello is a new die I got while in Illinois recently. It is by Paper Smooches (www.papersmoochesstamps.com)  Simple but so nice.

Well, hope you are inspired to go play!!

Children's cards - past classes

I am behind on posts as always but wanted to catch a few friends up on what we were doing in classes. Plus, if people in class get the old kits, they need something to see to know what they are making. :)

A past class was on children's cards. Here they are
Here is a Hello Kitty card.  Hello Kitty is a die. It had to be cut in each of the colors and then layered. The Happy Bday was also a die. The solid color papers were Stampin Up and the print paper, something I got at Tuesday Morning.

I love this monster card. The stamps are from Stampin Up. The eyes are layered punches.  I made template sheet to make this. If you would like the template, tell me in comments and I will send you one. Have't figure out how to attach them here.

This doesn't really show in the picture but it is layered. SO cute!
The last was a Christmas kids card. Precious Moments. Found the scrapbook paper at Tuesday Morning and just used the corner for the image. Other layers and punch for the corners.

Valentine card class

The last card class was mostly Valentines however we did do a Christmas card. The goal is to try and do a Christmas card each month so we have a nice collection at Christmas time.
Here is the front of the card. Fairly simple. Love the embossing folder. The stamp is from Stampin Up. I punched it out with a Stampin Up punch.

The inside was a pop up. I did it with a pop-n-cut die.

Here is a side view.

This is a card in the box card. It folds flat in the envelope. Kind of amazing. Here is a link to a tutorial. Not the one a I used but one like it. http://monicas-passions.blogspot.com/2013/10/card-in-box-video-tutorial.html   This is one of the original ones. Mine is smaller to fit in a smaller envelope.

Most of the punches and stamps are Stampin up. Last year, I got a set of heart stamps with a matching die from Archivers. The set is by Hero Arts called Stamp & Cut.
The card in a box took a long time to put together so I did a simple Christmas card. The stamp and die are from Stampin Up. The paper came from Tuesday Morning.

Ahoy, it's a baby shower

Had a baby shower for my daughter-in-law and son last weekend. I have a new grandson who will be born the end of February or early March. My other daughter-in-law Amy helped out putting things together.
Here is the banner I did. I designed the pennants with the Silhouette. I bought the anchor, lifesaver, and boat patterns and cut with the Silhouette too. The life saver was made with diapers over a wire frame.

These blue jello cups with orange slice boats were a big hit for eating and decorating.
Wrapped silverware and napkins with hemp and lifesavers candy
Fishing Bobbers added to the punch.

. Made more of the layered dishes with hot glue, candle sticks and dollar store plates. Then just wash them with hot water and they come apart after.

My daughter-in-law did these great cupcakes and I added toppers.

And here is a quilt great grandma did for the new baby! Beautiful.
Had some really fun games too. Lots of fun and all kinds of creative.

Musical Card Class

The theme for card class this week was music

This one is done with the word strip punch from Stampin Up for the piano keys. The white strip is a Stampin Up punch too.  The red flourish was from a flourish set of stamps I have had a long time.

The background on this one is a cuttlebug embossing folder and the words and music note, I cut out with my new Silhouette Cameo

This one was fun, We had cut out the guitar, I used some circle nesting dies for they hole. The strings are thread. There strings are connected with brads. You can find the template for the Guitar can be found at http://stampinspot.com
