Flowers

Last Sunday I made several flower cards.
They are all pretty simple. This is a combinations of flower parts. The background is a cuttlebug folder. The celebrate stamp is from Stampin Up.

I based the colors of this card off the colors in the ribbon. The flower stamp is one of my favorites. IT is by Stampendous.  The paper behind that flower came that way. The embossed background was done with the same cuttlebug folder as the one before.
I tried to be creative with the layout on this one. All the paper is printed. The flower stamp is the same one as the card before this.

I am behind

My laptop died so I didn't have a card reader for a while. Then I went on the retreat with some Just Cards friends so I am way behind on posting cards. I hope to go crazy for a while posting. so there will be lots of posts over a short time coming. I don't think a lot of people check out this blog but I hope you are enjoying the cards. Once I catch up, I will offer some blog candy so be sure you come back in a week or so to check it out! Let's start with a mother's day card I did quickly for my mother in law.
I find card go much quicker if I try to use things I have partly done so in this case, I had the flower background around from a class I did on one page wonders. The background stamps are from Stampin Up. The flower in the front is from Stampendous. The textured background is Cuttlebug.

Sympathy card

My dear friend Gillian lost her dad and I am sent this to her. I had colored the image a long time ago. It was a gift from a friend and I had it on my magnetic board for a while. I finally decided that it was the right time to use it. No fancy techniques here though. The flower in the background is one I have used a lot.  I think it is from Stampendous but I am not going down to my room to find it. The little girl is a Sugar Nellie stamp. The words are an old retired set from Close to my Heart that I got at a garage sale years ago. As for the coloring, I did my usual with this . Mostly colored pencils with oderless mineral spirits but Copics for the skin.

Best Witches

Here is one of the Halloween cards I did for swaps on Justcards. I love the rhinestones one her shoes. The background is more purple than the picture looks. It is a Cuttlebug folder. The shoes are from Outlines Stamps. The words are in the Doodle collection by Stampendous. The coloring was done with colored pencils and orderless mineral spirits.
