Quick Birthday Card

This was kind of a fast card but I am posting it because of the flower. It is all done with punches from Stampin Up. I folded the petals a little to make them more dimensional. I have wanted to buy the ones that are for sale places but also so expensive. The center is a brad.

Bunny Card

Laurel posted treat bags on JustCards with the bunny. She got the pattern from http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/03/special-project-4.html

Isn't it adorable? I used it on a card. The eyes are rhinestones. I just couldn't find circles that worked and I didn't have any jiggling eyes. I added the blue border to compliment the eyes. The hearts I used were from the Stampin Up punch that has 3 hearts. The ears were done with two sizes of oval punches rather than cutting down the inside ear by hand. It was fun and I hope to get a few more before Easter.

Matthew's Birthday

My son's birthday is tomorrow. It is so hard for me to make cards for people I love. I always want the card to be perfect. Well this is not perfect but I hope he will like it. The paper behind the whale is photo paper colored with alcohol inks. I used Steam and Demin. After it was dry, I stamped the whale.

Hoppy Birthday

The frogs on this card were cut with my Slice. I had to send it back to get a tune-up. Happily it is now working well again. I think this is one of my favorite images. The edges are distressed with Stampin Up ink.

Ribbon Flower Birthday card

I learned this technique at a Stampin Up workshop but I didn't have the stamp they used. I found a clear stamp set at JoAnn's that I used here for the background and flower. Love the effect.

Baby Shower

I have a baby shower to go to today and didn't have a lot of time to put together a card. I just got the border punch last night and wanted to use it. It was also a challenge because we don't know if the baby will be a boy or girl. I am happy with the result. The stamp is from Stampin Up.

Cards from recent workshop

I went to a Stampin Up workshop yesterday. We did 8 cards. I won't be posting them all here. I picked some of my favorites. I know that most of the cards she got off the Internet but she didn't have the links or designers to tell me.

I think this was my favorite. The set for the flowers is Doodle this. The words and flourish are from the Yummy set. The technique here is to punch a hole in the center of the flower. take ribbon and fold it in half. Stick a bit of the ribbon through the whole and the ribbon becomes the center and leaves of the flowers. The flowers were colored with a water brush and the ink.

I don't' know the stamp names for this one but all the supplies were Stampin Up supplies. The leader had the floral paper flipped over and used the pink polka dot paper up but I liked the floral. One girl in class turned it on the side and I really liked that but my adhesive was too good to change it.

This will be the last one for now. I like the colors it is a new Stampin Up set. Really cute set with stuff to put in the wagon. I changed mine up some from the demonstrator so it is kind of my own thing. If you get this set, you might want to trim it closer than the precut stamps. It left marks around the image so I cut out the image and used the word strip punch to punch out the words.

I hope you are inspired.

Distressed Birthday

I have made a lot of cards I haven't posted here and I am going to work at getting several done today. This was done in a rush. I already had the images stamped. I love these images. They are from Stampin Up. I believe they are retired. The set is called Close to Nature. I colored them with watercolors and inks. A touch of Copic marker too. The yellow background was embossed with my cuttlebug. The words were from another company but is not marked.

L is for Lizard

In the continuing alphabet swaps for JustCards, this is my lizard card. It is a gecko but a gecko is a lizard. I colored this with colored pencils. I used the mineral spirits in a few areas to smooth out the colors but mostly the paces were too small to do much with it. The stamp is made by Taylored Artwork. The card is smaller than an A2 size. I got the lizard done but couldn't figure out what to do with the blank space on each side of the lizard so I just cut down the card.

This one is for a swap named going green. The ribbon is green even though the camera made it look yellow in the picture. It is simple but I was happy about how it turned out.

Funky Flower

I have done a lot more card than I have gotten posted here. This is one I did tonight. The stamp is from Outline Stamps. You stamp it over adn over and cut out the layers.
