Fancy Folder Card and Tag Caddy

A friend of mine who sells Stampin Up, showed me a card holder she had made several years ago. I wasn't able to find anything like it online so I used some of the measurements off hers and designed this.  I taught it in my card class. It took a couple sessions to get all the cards and tags made. There are lots of pictures here to try and show it. I probably should have just made a video but here it is.
Here is the front of it closed. There is a little piece of Velcro to hold the flap shut.

And here is a close up of the flap. I used Stampin Up Mixed Bunch stamp set on these and the matching Blossom punch They are a couple of my favorites right now.
Here is a side view of the caddy. It holds full size cards, gift cards and tags.

Here is a picture of it opened up.  I think it is sooo fun. And one you have it down, it isn't too hard to create either
Here are the cards we did for it. Very simple card done with a One sheet wonder. If you don't know about  One Sheet Wonders, it is where you stamp a sheet of paper ( or use printed paper) and cut it up in a way that you use all of it up in a series of cards. I will post the cards individually in another post with a close up of the gift cards.
And here are the gift cards. They are little 3 by 3 cards. Still using the same set of stamps and punch.
I need to do a few more tags. This was a sample of different ideas for the class.

I designed patterns for the caddy and the one sheet wonder. I will post it in a future post with more pictures

Set of cards I am donating

This is another quick set of cards. I did them tonight to donate to a raffle. There is a woman at work that has been in and out of the hospital for several months and accumulated a large amount of medical bills. There is a group of people organizing a raffle to help her.
I used patterened paper I got at Tuesday Morning. The border is from EK punches and the flower is from Stampin Up.

4 quick cards

These cards were done quickly with a single sheet of paper as the inspiration.
This one used the new Tim Holtz die I got. Just love this clock.

This one was done with some preprinted pieces that matched perfectly.

The tag and flower were also from the same preprinted stuff as above and a fancy purple brad.

The dragonfly and flower are printed chipboard stickers.
I thought it was great fun to get several cards done quickly and still have some pretty cards!

Tri Shutter Bird card

I am still having card classes. The last few have been held in a dance studio so we would have more room but she is being forced to move and we will be back to meeting at my house. Here is a card we did a few weeks ago.

The dies used are all from Spellbinders. It is a fairly easy card for how hard it looks.

T is for Time out

My yahoo group, JustCards, continues to have alphabet swaps each month.  Here is my T card. T is for Time out. I love this little girl and I could certainly use a time out.

I colored her with Copics.  The stamp is from Stamping Bella called "Anna and Her Time Out Chair"

ST Patrick cards

I ended up in two St. Patrick card swaps and made these two cards.

Kind of simple cards where the paper did most of the work. I colored the shamrock with copics.

Feb sketch card

Meg Farris designs the sketches for the month Swaps at JustCards.  Here is the Sketch she did in Feburay and my interpretation.
Meg's Sketch

And my interpretation-

Do you think I tool it too far?  The clock die is from Tim Holtz. The saying is from a large box of tiny sayings I have.

Card Makers Centerpiece

I was asked to do a centerpiece for a dinner based on my talent of card making. Here are some pictures of it. You will probably recognize some of the cards. The lighting wasn't wonderful and I only had my phone to take the pictures.

Under the cards and stampes, there are buttons and some sheets of patterned cardstock.  There is an antique bowl in the center with card covering the cardholder the hold the card up in the center.
Wish you all could have joined us for the dinner and seen all the other tables filled with people's talents!
