January Swap cards

These are 3 of the 4 swap cards I did this month. They haven't all been received but I am posting them anyway. I forgot to get a picture of the 4th. I am hoping Gillian will send a picture after it gets to Australia.
This card was pretty simple but pretty, I thought.  The theme was Valentines.  The embossing die is new.  It is from Dance. I think I got it at Hobby Lobby but I have been traveling a bit and going to many different stores so I am not sure. It is easily searchable on the internet as Butterfly embossing folder.

Then I just inked it lightly with Stampin Up ink.  And the word stamp is form a holiday set I got at JoAnn's

The theme for this swap was coloring techniques. I love 3's. They make such a statement so easily. I got this rose at I Brake for Stamps.  It may be retired. I looked on the website and didn't see it. (Della, if you check out my post will you add the location in the comments if you still carry it)

The coloring technique on the roses was pastel pencil and then Diamond Glaze over the top. I only had two colors. I would have liked to have had more colors to shade more.
The border punch is by EK.

The Theme on this one was Red and White only.  The star of this card is the stamp by I Brake For Stamps.  Here is a link for a set of stamps like this one. http://ibrakeforstamps.com/floralcollagesheet.aspx  I know it is offered individually too.  I did shade it a little extra because the red ink did not show off the details as much as I would have like.  Amazing stamp that makes creating a beautiful card easy.

My forth card had a Mexico theme. I will post a picture when it arrives in Australia and I get a picture!

Card for my Mother-in-Law

Yesterday was my Mother-in-Law's birthday. I am delivering her card and gift today.  She lives about an hour away. While teaching card class last night, I was inspired to do a different card. Here is her card. All the paper is from Stampin Up.  The die is from Stampin Up too. The colors are the 2011-2013 colors.

The card design is an altered Tri-fold. There is a video to do it on Oozak.com

Aliens!

Here is the third card from class. I provided each of the class members with this sheet of stickers.
It's a big 12 by 12 sheet that I got from Tuesday Morning .  Then they got a background of matching pattern paper and some scraps. They were to design their own and take the extra stickers home to do more. Here are the samples I provided.
It the same sheet I used to make my grandson's birthday card just a short time ago. Quick, simples cards that are oh soooo cute!

Altered Tri Shutter card

My friend Valerie made a card like this and I loved it so we did one for card class Friday.  Here is the first one I did as a test. There is a video with the method posted on Oozak at https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=M_x4CrrtFO4

I used stamps I got at I Brake for Stamps

The zebra stripe and word paper was from a set I got from a local craft store when it was closing.
This is the card I did for class.  Valerie lent me the spellbinder die for the cherry branch and flowers. I used a white gel pen for the centers of the flowers.

The papers were from a package of papers from Seirra Crafts.

The butterfly and word stamps were from I Brake for stamps.

Wish you could all come to our classes.

Flower card

I had card class last night. Even though we had bad weather and VERY cold temperatures  6 people came. I will have a makeup class for the 8 people who didn't make it.  Here is one of the three cards we did. I saw the original on Pinterest and altered it a little.

I think it would be a great card to do with scraps.
The punches and stamp set are from Stampin Up.

Dad and Daniel Birthday

Dad and my grandson have birthdays on the same. I only made simple cards for them due to time.

This was done with some pretty paper I got at Tuesday Morning. Just added the happy birthday stamp.

And this is some great paper and stickers, (also gotten from Tuesday Morning). Inside, I wrote, hope you birthday is a blast!

Scott's Birthday

I have the goal of sending cards to each of my nieces and nephews this year. That is a lot of cards. My nephew Scott had his birthday on Jan 1 so I was a little late with his card. Here is the card I sent.
A friend sent me this stamp.
And this is what I said inside.
