Another week of cards

Here are pictures of the cards from last week's card class.  Sure is great to meet with my friends for card class.

This is the first one. It was done from kits I got from Fire Mountain Gems. The had a dutch auction and I got the kits for an incredible price.
Here is the second card. The image and words are digital stamps from Whimsie Doodles
The coloring was done with colored pencils.

This final card is done using several things. The first part is the flower which is made from a Stampin Up die. The bow was done using a You Tube video on a bow technique, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMKipaZmGBs&feature=player_embedded#! I kind of made up the background technique. I embossed the paper and then brayered it with ink. By pressing hard, you crush the embossing somewhat and allow some of the low areas to be inking giving a nice distressed look.

Catching up on cards

I have not been as quiet making cards as I am posting here on my blog but I am going to do some catching up. I will post a series of posts with many of my cards.  I have been teaching card class every other week so I have LOTS of cards. I have had some camera problems so many of the cards are scanned rather than photographed.

This is a triple layer card and my new favorite technique. It is very popular right now.  Here is a video of the technique.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmculp_tz74
I used a set of stamps I got from Tuesday Morning.

This one is done with a digital stamp from http://www.whimsiedoodles.com/ . The background is an old stampin up stamp.  This is colored with bic markers

The truck and saying are also from http://www.whimsiedoodles.com/  It is colored with colored pencils. The key is from another set of stamps. I don't remember which one.  The white chain is a punch.

Here is the final one from this class. It was one with a resist technique.  Here is the video that gave the idea.   The flower is a felt sticker I had. Something I got on clearance years ago.

Here is a picture of the card class at work. It is not the week we made the above cards but another.
